Thank You for Supporting Skylight Farms!  Welcome to our community. We take the responsibility of growing your food seriously and can’t wait to share the season with you. To help you know what to expect from your CSA experience, please take a moment to read the following.

Sharing the Risk:  As a member of our CSA, you accept and share in the risks and rewards of farming. We’re in this together. We hope to provide you with an amazing bounty but the availability of produce can be impacted by weather, pests, or other disruptions to production. Some variables we can mitigate – others we can’t. Should something catastrophic happen, we’ll make every effort to balance it out whenever possible.

Pickup Etiquette: The farm will be open for pick up on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 2pm. It’s helpful if you can let us know your preferred pick up day.

Missed/Late Pick-Ups: We can’t guarantee the availability of boxes past the scheduled pick-up time. If you are running late or miss your pick up, please contact us. If we haven’t heard from you, you may receive a text message about 30 minutes prior to closing. If you’re unable to come during the pick up window, arrangements can be made to pick up on Monday in extraordinary circumstances. We are not able to issue refunds for missed or forgotten pick ups.

Missing Order: In the event that your order is incomplete or missing, please email or text us so that we can help you resolve the situation. Depending on the circumstances we will either do a make it up in the following week, or, issue a refund or webstore credit for the missing items.

Skip Weeks (only applies to the 23-week CSA subscription): If you signed up for the 23-week CSA, two “skip weeks” are included which mean that you can cancel a pick up twice during the season without the hassle of figuring out what to do with that week’s box. Unused skip weeks will automatically be applied to the last two weeks of the season. See below if you need to put your box on hold after using up both skip weeks.

Vacation/Out of Town/Can’t pick up: If you can’t pick up your box due to vacation or being out of town, you can choose to 1) receive a credit for the value of the week’s order to be used in the webstore by December 31, 2024, or 2) donate the value of the week’s order toward our community share program that provides subsidized boxes to people in need. Please give us seven days advance notice, if possible.

Additions to Your Box: You can add items to your box by visiting our webstore. Please note the ordering deadlines.

Credit: If you believe you deserve a credit for poor quality, damaged, or otherwise unusable produce, please let us know. We will evaluate cases individually. Be sure to include what day/time you picked up the produce, and how it was stored.  Late pick-ups are not eligible for credits, due to natural deterioration of fresh produce.

Returning Your Box: You may return boxes for re-use each week. Please remove trash or old produce prior to returning the boxes. We can’t reuse pint boxes, plastic bags, or twist-ties. Even better, bring your shopping bags to transfer your goodies on site and leave your box behind.

Customer Privacy: If you create an account on our website, rest assured that your financial and personal information is encrypted; Skylight Farms does not have access to your payment information. We do not sell, rent or share our email list, customer list or any personal/financial information to third parties.

Our Promise: We strive to provide you with high-quality, delicious food. We take pride in the quality of our produce and eggs but sometimes we goof up. If you’re dissatisfied for any reason, please contact us so that we can address your concerns.
